Estupa budista de Benalmádena
Benalmádena 09/09/2010 – El Lama Tibetano Khenpo Ngeden ofrecerá el domingo 12 de septiembre a partir de las 19:00 horas, una conferencia gratuita que versará sobre la filosofía budista. El lugar elegido es la Estupa de la Iluminación de Benalmádena.
La Asociación Cultural Karma Kayu de Benalmádena organiza este evento. Su presidenta, Margarita Lehnert, ha afirmado que todas las personas serán bienvenidas.

Mysore, Nov. 5 (KCU&RK)- About 150 members of State Kajyudpa Buddhist Council in their traditional outfits had lined up near Hebbal Industrial Area here today to greet Ogyen Thinley Dorgee, 17th Karmapa of Tibetans, who arrived to participate in the four-day TED (Technology, Entertainment & Design) conference being held at the Infosys campus.
The Council members waved flags of various colours and umbrellas to the rhythmic beating of the traditional drums of Tibetans as the car carrying the 17th Karmapa entered the campus.
Police had provided tight security to the 26-year-old Karmapa. Flex boards of the Karmapa were found erected near the campus.
The Karmapa, who sat in the front seat beside the driver, did not even wave at the waiting devotees on either side of the road outside Infosys campus though the devotees were waiting since 8.30 am.
The Karmapa is staying at a posh hotel in city since Tuesday. The hotel is under tight security and his devotees are visiting the hotel to have his darshan.
According to a source, about 200 devotees called on him the whole day since morning on Wednesday.
According to an aide, the Karmapa is expected to attend a programme to pay homage to North Karnataka flood victims at NIE tomorrow.

The Gyalwa Karmapa is the head of the Karma Kagyu, the largest sub-school of the Kagyupa, itself one of the four major schools of Tibetan Buddhism.
The historical seat of the Karmapas is Tsurphu Monastery in the Tolung valley of Tibet.
