new Burmese Monastery in Brooklyn

Dear Tsopemaling,

We would like to invite you to the opening of a new Burmese Monastery in Brooklyn, NY this Sunday, August 29, from 10am to 1pm.

The monastery will offer spiritual and social support to the growing Burmese communities in the New York area. The monks who will reside there were some of the brave organizers of the Saffron Revolution--Venerable Sayadaw U Pyinya Zawta, U Gawsita and U Agga Nyana. They continue to work toward peace and equality in Burma today.
