Khenchen Konchog Gyaltshen  Sept. 3-4 In Person or Live Webcast  Teaching from his personal enlightening poetry that illuminates the full path to enlightenment:  Samsara and Nirvana; Two Sides of the Same Hand  Known for his humor and kindness, Khenchen Rinpoche is one of the Drikung's greatest living scholars and teachers. He translated nearly all the prayers and practices we have in English. He continues to teach internationally and translate essential texts tirelessly. He returns to Vermont, having taught here annually for a decade in the 90's. His melodic voice goes deep into our bones, allowing us to contemplate the wisdom of his insights over time. Some of the treasures he has translated are: Jewel Ornament of Liberation, Garland of Mahamudra Practices and Jewel Treasury of Advice. His priceless work formed the essential base from which the holy Dharma could be taught and practiced. All programs operate by donation designed to cover the cost of hosting and transportation, as well as a teaching gift for the Lama.  No one is turned away due to lack of funds and many helping hands are needed. Alert regading Chemical Sensitivity We would be very very grateful if you refrain from using scented products when visiting the Nunnery. Two of our nuns and some Sangha members have MCS (Multiple chemical sensitivity) therefore we kindly request you to be mindful about perfumed products. Hand creams, shampoo, aftershaves, conditioner, laundry detergent have chemicals that are heightened by the heat the body produces. When that happens in close environments like in teachings and retreats it can cause illness. It is beneficial to have one set of clothes - to visit us - from which the scents have been removed.
