Known for his humor and kindness, Khenchen Rinpoche is one of the Drikung's greatest living scholars and teachers. He translated nearly all the prayers and practices we have in English. He continues to teach internationally and translate essential texts tirelessly. He returns to Vermont, having taught here annually for a decade in the 90's. His melodic voice goes deep into our bones, allowing us to contemplate the wisdom of his insights over time.
Some of the treasures he has translated are: Jewel Ornament of Liberation, Garland of Mahamudra Practices and Jewel Treasury of Advice. His priceless work formed the essential base from which the holy Dharma could be taught and practiced.
All programs operate by donation designed to cover the cost of hosting and transportation, as well as a teaching gift for the Lama. No one is turned away due to lack of funds and many helping hands are needed.
Volunteers are welcome to assist with Khenchen's visit - cooking, space preparation etc. Please call (802) 453- 6867 if you can help.
